AfrikaBurn is the spectacular result of the creative expression of participants who gather once a year in the Tankwa Karoo to create a temporary city of art, theme camps, costume, music and performance.

"It was the most challenging, fun, mind-altering, connecting experience I’ve ever had. Building out paper kiln was a highlight for me - at one stage, our whole team were on the side watching strangers working together making the artwork. It was the most emotional experience to see their symbiosis, enjoyment, connection, and joy. And the fact that our gift was the fired pots at the end was just such a bonus for them. Each person expressed such delight when they chose their gift. I will never forget this! "
