The education of our children is the ultimate key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

In 2011, THE CRADLE OF HOPE acquired the use of the badly neglected former Government pre-school in West-Krugersdorp, previously used as a TED Nursery School. At great cost and with much hard work, these premises were transformed into the highly-rated CRADLE – TJOKKERTJIES FOR JESUS PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL. A Homework Centre for vulnerable and under-privileged primary and secondary children was also added. We provide breakfast and a healthy cooked lunch to these children every day.

For many of them, this is the only meal that they get to eat for the entire day.

The children that are supported by us are mainly from a poor, abusive, and neglected home environment. To make this worse, many of our parents have lost their jobs during the lockdown. A lot of the parents are single mothers. Most of the children attend this high quality pre-primary school for free as their parents or primary caretakers do not have any income.  

We can issue Article 18a SARS Tax certificates for all donations received.
