Gebore in Windhoek (Namibia) in '84 het John Rock Prophet sy eerste kitaar in laerskool verdien na sy pa hom gesê het, “Wanneer jy jou eerste lied kan speel, koop ek jou n kitaar". Hy het op n 12 jarige ouderdom sy vriend se kitaar geleen en heel aand geoefen. Na hy sy aangepaste weergawe van Suikerbos vir sy pa die volgende oggend voorlê is hy en sy pa in hulle rooi Ford Cortina oppad musiek winkel toe. Hy het begin skryf en sy talent en honger was onmisbaar. Sy nuutste Album "Verhoogde Standaarde" is testament van die nostalgie in hierdie jong man... Dit is nuut, dit is oud, dit is Afrikaans en dit is hier.
Lagom Cafe & Theatre Bistro is situated at Ridge Square, 162 Lynnwood Road in Pretoria East and we are proud to host some of SA's top musicians for an intimate evening of good food, refreshments, free parking, wi-fi and entertainment
