ABOUT
The Youth Wind Orchestra of Ludwigsburg is celebrating their 30th year of making music. More than a 1000 young musicians have worked their way through the orchestra, and Roland Haug, who is now their conductor, was a trumpeter in the orchestra the very first year the orchestra came together. The orchestra has won numerous international awards, and this will be the first time in 15 years that they visit South Africa.
The program will consist of a very entertaining mixture of famous classical works like the Concerto de Arajuez by Joaquin Rodrigo and the Radetzky March by Johann Strauss Sr. together with more modern lighter fare, like compositions by the film composer, Nino Rota. The concert will be at 7pm and the Mbombela Civic Theatre.
