ABOUT
African Grassroot Hoops NPC and partners will be hosting its second annual Youth Day Classic U19 boys and girls Basketball Tournament. AGH is a non-profit organization that is working to encourage the youth in South Africa to get involved with basketball. The goal of this organization is to use the game of basketball as an outlet that will empower and grow young leaders, as well as offering them a healthy and safe alternative to gangsterism and other social ills. The tournament will be held on June 16-17, Youth Day in South Africa. There will be top-level South African youth basketball teams from in and outside of Cape Town and the theme of the event will be centered around women empowerment and entrepreneurship. Tickets for the event are the following prices: R25 for children, R50 for adults, and R500 for VIP tickets. The VIP tickets will grant access for both days as well as sponsor and pay for children from surrounding townships with transportation and tickets for the event.
