One of South Africa’s most esteemed and influential saxophonists of all time, McCoy Mrubata has enjoyed a music career that has spanned six decades, 20 albums, as well as awards and accolades from press and fans around the world. A torchbearer for the unique saxophone tradition of South African Jazz, McCoy Mrubata has brought that sound to a global audience, and has been one of the most defining figures in shaping the sound of post-apartheid South African Jazz.
