At the age of four, Mieke underwent a valve replacement where the infantile valve had to be replaced with a mature one. By the end of that January, the doctors told us that this procedure would have to be performed on her again at the age of only 15 which will be next year.
This means she won't be able to travel for 3 years. This is her only chance to participate at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
