ABOUT

Ever wondered what it must be like surviving a brain tumor or how parenting is affected when you are in a wheelchair? What questions would you want to ask someone that is a serial social entrepreneur, a pastor mediating gangs or an organ donor?

Join A StrangerKind’s next ASK Event @ Bertha House* and come ask the questions you weren’t sure you were allowed to from people you are maybe not likely to meet otherwise.

On the day - select an available topic at our welcome desk and then sit down for an intimate conversation where that 'Stranger' (volunteer) will briefly share an introduction about their personal experience on the topic. For the remainder of the allocated time, you can ASK them ANYthing - difficult quesitons are expected, appreciated and (usually) answered. Sessions start at 11:15, 12:15 and 13:15 and you can come through at any time and just check out what it is about.

Topics for the day include, but are not limited to: Foreigner • 3rd Culture Kid • Parenting in a Wheelchair • Depression • Organ Donor & Grief • Serial Social Entrepreneur • Sterlised at 29 • Autism Spectrum • Pastor Mediating Gangs • Brain Tumor Survivor ...and more. Topics are reserved at a first-come-first-served basis, and slight variations in available topics might occur on the day.

This is a free and open event.
