ABOUT

Open Mic Night Storytelling is an opportunity for you to take us on a journey of your lived experiences. Bringing women together in authentic connection through storytelling as our mothers and grandmothers did.

Do you have a true story that ignites your soul and transcends boundaries? Or simply a story that lets others know that they are not alone?

You are warmly invited to share your story in this safe space, spoken freely from your heart without notes in a time limit of up to 10 minutes. Be seen, heard and celebrated as you inspire others.

You do not need to be a public speaker to share your story. Anyone can share. 

This is a safe space to freely share and take us on a journey of your lived experience.

This is an intimate in-person Storytelling afternoon for real women who simply want to speak from the heart - a space where, in the embrace of sisterhood, every woman gets to shine.

THEME: ENDINGS & NEW BEGINNINGS (and everything in between!)

Do you have a story of the time when you left home and spread your wings? Ended a relationship? Found new love? Left a job? Let go of something or Started something new? The topics are endless.

We look forward to hearing what happened when one door closed and the next opened.

Your story matters and you will be wildly celebrated.

Too often, as women, we forget to pause and reflect on the journey we have travelled.

By sharing your story, you are uplifting us with your gift of life experience.

We’d love 8 speakers to share their story on the day.

If you would like to be one of those speakers, please arrive early to register your name on the Speakers Board.

Speakers will be on a first come first serve basis.

PLEASE NOTE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A SPEAKER TO ENJOY THE AFTERNOON!

Listeners are essential to storytelling and very welcome.

However, if you feel there is a story bubbling inside of you, but hesitate to share it, we invite you to lean in, be brave, own your story and inspire us.

Every woman has a yearning to be seen, be heard or at the very least, to be acknowledged.

This is your time to share, to shine or simply take the next step on this beautiful, and at times brutal, journey of life.

Arrive anytime from 12:30pm, grab a refreshment, have a chat and be

ready to settle in by 1pm when the stories will begin.
