ABOUT

What is CHOC?

Childhood Cancer Foundation SA

non-profit organization that advocates for the health and well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families.

The passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers of CHOC aim to save lives through early detection and comprehensive support programs for families affected by cancer.

We offer, psychosocial, emotional, and practical support as we augment the different medical fraternities.

Recently, the government announced budget cuts for several NGOs. As artists, we got together and said we can be the change.

This event is in aid of CHOC and features The Conquerors and Meneer Naude.

The Conquerors Reggae Band is all about roots Reggae and promoting a positive message through their music. Their main objective is to contribute to nation-building, and social cohesion and spread universal love while making you skank to the groovy rhythms of their original music. Their ultimate goal, becoming international reggae ambassadors from South Africa! Performing regularly at Cape Town Reggae festivals such as the Annual Paarl Rasta Cultural Festival, Monwabisi Reggae Legends Sunsplash and Cape Town Reggae Sunsplash. The Conquerors has become a household name in the Cape Town reggae fraternity.

Starting out in 2009, the band is growing from strength to strength and continues to push the message of one love, peace and unity through their original roots’ reggae music.

Meneer Naudè is a South African rapper and poet from Mitchells Plain who delivers sharp social commentary in Kaapse Afrikaans. He has released two albums and one poetry collection
