ABOUT

Cape Town-based politician Patricia de Lille used to be the mayor of the city. But a battle with the party she belonged to -- the Democratic Alliance -- led to her resigning from this role. In this film, behind-the-scenes footage show what happened during De Lille's last days as the Cape Town mayor and the start of her new Good political party ahead of a national election.

The filmmaker, while following De Lille, finds that she is a politician that locals love to call Aunty Pat. De Lille's early days as an anti-apartheid activist led her to becoming a parliamentarian as part of Nelson Mandela's first democratic government. Since then she has worked in politics with different political parties and has become a household name in South Africa.
