WHAT IS THIS EVENT ALL ABOUT?
Human'ing (verb) better in the world of work has never before been more critical for business success and sustainability. Whether leading or working alongside colleagues, our ability to build trust, to create connection, and to switch people on and grow them is a critical requirement… Both in terms of mindset and method. But this is not easy, in fact it’s often extremely difficult to do. People are complicated!
People matter in our businesses, so how do we attract them, switch them on and keep them switched on? This is the question we wish to answer on the night of this event.
WHO WILL BE SPEAKING ON THE NIGHT?
This event has been put together by Suits & Sneakers, Wamly, and Brad Shorkend. Together, we want to gather the top HR executives in Gauteng and discuss how we are still human beings craving, creating and responding to human experiences, in a world gone digital crazy.

WHO IS BRAD SHORKEND?
Brad Shorkend is a behavioural specialist, CEO of Still Human, and the author of “We Are Still Human [and work shouldn’t suck!]. He has worked with 1000’s of people at all levels of business around the world helping them to human better. Brad’s tools and methodologies are designed to demystify and simplify the often misunderstood ‘people stuff’, and to enable shared ways of thinking, speaking about and doing when it comes to building, leading and sustaining people centric cultures.
Brad is a relentless entrepreneur having founded and successfully (mostly) led over 20 businesses across numerous industry sectors. He is also adjunct faculty at GIBS and Duke CE business schools so he brings a dynamic blend of both business and academic thinking.
WHO IS FRANCOIS DE WET AND WHAT IS WAMLY?
As an industrial psychologist and talent expert, Francois de Wet has worked with many high profile corporates and CEO’s. Over the years he noticed that they all had one thing in common: They were highly frustrated with the recruitment process. This realisation planted a seed for Francois and in 2018 he decided to start a side hustle, tending to this problem.
When entrepreneur and Shark Tank SA investor Marnus Broodryk tried out Fran’s video interview software in his own accounting firm and experienced the time saving benefits, he saw the potential to help thousands of companies around the world to experience the same ROI in their businesses. WHO IS MARK SHAM AND WHAT IS SUITS & SNEAKERS?
Mark Sham is a passionate entrepreneur who is changing the world! He speaks to audiences around the globe about HAPPINESS and also being better prepared for the future. Mark also runs a much loved social enterprise called Suits & Sneakers which hosts informal education events all around the world.
Mark believes that thanks to the internet, you can learn almost anything, anywhere, any time, and at virtually no cost. As a result, he suggests that people need to become self-direct, continuous learners in order to thrive in the future. He also believes that education is available in many forms, and as a result, the future doesn't care how you become an expert!
