Cold Water Capers presented by the CLDSA - False Bay crossing: The Cape’s ultimate challenge

Mon Jan 31, 19:30 - Mon Jan 31, 20:30

On-line

ABOUT

Beautiful yet brutal: The False Bay crossing is the Cape’s ultimate swimming challenge.

Strong currents, rough water, unfriendly wildlife and a distance equivalent to the English Channel juxtaposed with a picturesque Cape setting has captured the interest of local and international swimmers.

CLDSA has been administering False Bay crossing since the 1980s.

Join the CLDSA for our first session of the 2022 COLD WATER CAPERS series where we conduct a panel discussion about this route with swimmers Paula Armstrong and Ross Duncan who recently took on the challenge, and the oracle of the 2 Oceans Derrick Frazer.
