Are you ready to be transported to the tastes of District Six?

Simons at Groot Constantia will be partnering with some of our best local cooks to bring you a taste experience out of this world! Tourism have been hit hard during these testing times, and will be collaborating with smaller businesses to help drive their income.

For our second event, we will partner with Faldela again, a well-known legend from Cape Town. She gives cookery lessons to tourists at her home in Cape Town. The food cooked in this predominantly Muslim neighborhood is as piquant as the hot pink and burnt orange painted houses that rise gently up the lower slopes of Signal Hill, part of Table Mountain.

The three-course authentic Cape Malay menu for Saturday evening, 25 September will be as follows:

Starters:

Selection of samosas and chili bites

Mains: (choice between)

*Mutton curry with basmati rice and sambal salad

*Butter chicken with naan bread

*Chuck vegetable curry

Dessert:

*Potato pudding with stew dry fruit!!

The legend herself will join us on the evening! :)
