Isitabane (Homosexual) Project

About

Would you kindly assist in helping with donations towards producing a series called Isitabane. A story about a gay black boy in South Africa whose life changed completely because he was rejected by everyone for being gay.

The series aims to tackle a fragile issue in the world, the LGBTQI+ community. Everyone has

opinions about what needs to be done with it in this newly found age. The driving forces of the

series are simple. When you bully someone, whether knowing or not you bruise them

internally. The bruise might be temporary or might shape that person until the day they die.

When you rape someone, you remove a certain level of dignity that person owned. You steal

something so precious, that leaves a void that might be temporary or haunt them until the day

they die. When churches, places that are supposed to be people’s havens reject and pour hate instead of love, which is supposed to be their core value. They remove the last hope, the last light that person thirsts for. When your family allow external opinions whether truth or not, to

decide whether to love you or not, that hurts beyond anything – the hurt that opens the door

to death/suicide.

These things in the series are depicted as killings; “internal killings” and unfortunately are the cause of how people will decide to live their lives. Others move on with their lives, others commit suicide from the depression and others live wild-lives and could care less of the hurt they pass because they themselves have become immune to pain or empathy.

Through the pre-production phase, I will make it as public as possible. Taking you all through the journey of it's creation. The script is complete and currently under assessment and a team looking for funding. This could take months and even more than year. Hence, I decided to ask the public to help out.

Please help out with any amount. Help make this dream a reality.

Thank you all.
