A Flight for the Gift of Sight

HELP PHYLLIS PAY FOR GLASSES THAT WILL SECURE HER JOB, AND YOU MAY RECEIVE A WEEKEND AWAY, AN UNFORGETTABLE FLIGHT IN A VINTAGE AIRCRAFT OR A PARAGLIDE EXPERIENCE FOR YOU AND A FRIEND

Phyllis has been employed with our Company, Travtrust Investments CC, for the past 20 years. A diagnosis of macular degeneration, a degenerative eye disease that causes vision loss has, after numerous procedures, still left her needing low vision glasses if she is to function in life, and at work. It's a disease that causes loss in the very centre of the field of vision, and comes in two forms, dry macular degeneration, where the centre of the retina deteriorates, and wet macular degeneration, where leaky blood vessels grow under the retina.

Phyllis has wet macular degeneration. The poor vision arising from the disease threatens her capacity to use a computer, and, therefore, threatens her job as an administrator. Being over 60, it is very scary for Phyllis to have gone through the process that she has endured this last 18 months, especially as hers is the only meaningful income in the family.

The treatment journey has come to it's end, with a last, big bill to pay. The cost of a pair of K4 Telescopic Glasses that will return functioning visual capacity to one eye is R 26 700 00. She has reported that she could "see everything!" when testing the glasses, and we are all convinced that the glasses will secure her future at work, and thus the future of her family, as well.

The cost of the glasses are beyond her means, so we decided, as her employers and colleagues, to assist her by running this small campaign. Please be so kind as to make a donation to this very worthy cause,. In return, we will gift three donors one of the following;
