Digital Girl Africa is a women-focused digital hub invested in cultivating an inclusive digital economy for the post COVID-19 future.
The SLOW Fest is a virtual festival by Digital Girl Africa with carefully curated workshops, masterclasses and conversations set to empower and inspire women throughout 16 days of activism.
Our story began in 2018. when we hosted our first digital storytelling workshop in Johannesburg. To-date we have trained over 200 women and girls and hosted more than 10 workshops. Our mission is to minimize the digital gender gap by improving women and girls digital literacy and building a premium network of highly skilled women tech talent.
Our plans for 2021 include reaching more women in remote areas so they may also participate in the digital economy.
