Build a Bedside Pedestal Table

Join our local Festool Expert, Costa Stavrakis, and the team from Hardware Centre Randburg at a workshop that will show what Festool is all about, with the focus on dust free cutting, joining and sanding. Although the main focus for the day will be Festool, other brands like KREG will also be showcased and used in the build.

This workshop, that will be covered over 2 Saturdays, is how to build a bedside table with one drawer as per the picture below:

Part 1: Saturday 24 October 2020

In PART 1 of this project we start off with cutting down the material to size dust free with the Festool TS55 combined with the CTL dust extraction system on the MFT/3 table.

We will then join the wood making use of the Festool Domino DF500.

Finally we will ensure the carcass of the table is sanded smooth by using the Festool Rotex 150, using the Festool 60, 80, 120 and 240 grit sandpaper.

Part 2: Saturday 31 October 2020

In PART 2 of this project we will use the KREG drawer slide jig for attaching the drawer slides.

We will use the Festool MFK700 Edge Router to smooth and round the edges on the table.

The outside main frame of the bedside table will again be sanded using the Festool dust free sanding system.

Finally we will finish the bedside table off by treating it with Howard or Festool Oils.
