RAMAINE IN CONTACT – THE LIVE SHOW

Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd, with her signature sizzle and gigantic stage personality, will have you enthralled from the minute she steps onto stage! A seasoned performer who has been in the industry for 38 years, Ramaine started her musical journey at the age of 5, already performing with a live band on the nightclub circuit in Cape Town. She starred in her first major production, Bugsy Malone, at the age of 9. At age 12 she joined forces with Emo Adams, Alistair Izobell and Luqmaan Adams to form the group Nu Fancy which toured South Africa along with The Rockets and PJ Powers, and went on to record an album. After working abroad for four years Ramaine returned home and became known as the ‘Tina Turner’ of South Africa – much loved by audiences who enjoyed her performances in countless productions on the Barnyard Theatre circuit nationally for well over 12 years. Now based in Cape Town again, she is still boasting powerhouse vocals and her sassy on-stage presence – a creative force to be reckoned with!

But a global pandemic hit us in 2020 and suddenly everything came to a grinding halt. Finally after six long months in lockdown, Ramaine is extremely excited to be back in her happy place in October – performing on stage to a live audience. During the lockdown period she has kept busy by doing a series of ‘Ramaine in Contact’ live streamed interviews on social media. On Friday the 30^th of October she will be combining elements of that process with her first love by bringing you a musical adventure LIVE at 44 On Long! She has invited a few friends to join her on stage. Ramaine, along with four phenomenal vocalists, Kim Gustafson, Madeegha Anders, Nuraan Boltman and Candice Galetta, will treat you to an unforgettable evening of music!
