ABOUT

Since we sent out a mailer two weeks ago, inviting you to our next Women in Philanthropy talk, the world has changed drastically. Never has the issue of resilience and sustainability been more needed for Non-Profits, companies and individuals than it is now.

Due to social distancing, we are going to cancel the date that was arranged for this on April 8th. HOWEVER we are going to go ahead with the talk on Wednesday April 15th at 9-11 am on Zoom. This is the first time that we’ll be having a ‘virtual’ WiPSA session, and we would encourage you to join us to discuss this hugely relevant subject.

Zoom is an online communication platform that is allowing many people to work virtually, in one to one or in groups. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, we will offer a short session on it beforehand so that you’ll be able to get acquainted with it.

Gabi Lowe and Pippa Shaper of The Resilience Factory, have been teaching their model, the 10 R’s of Authentic Resilience since 2018. This model has helped over 1500 people from around the world to learn the practical tools of Authentic Resilience.

They will be looking at the questions - Why do some NPOs seem to thrive during tough times, whilst others struggle to survive? For those facing adversity and hardship on a daily basis in the non-profit sector, how do we keep going? And our beneficiaries facing challenges, change and loss – how do we assist them live a full and meaningful

life? The answer to all these questions lies in the often-misunderstood word ‘resilience’.

Join Pippa Shaper and Gabi Lowe as they unpack what Authentic Resilience REALLY is, and introduce their model, The Ten R’s of Authentic Resilience. Through this tool, you will learn how to build your own levels of resilience, as well as how to apply them to build a sustainable organization. Gabi and Pippa will be joined by Kathleen

Dey from Rape Crisis and Julia Milligan from The Clothing Bank, to demonstrate how they got their own organisations through tough times.

Join us, to find out how you can develop greater levels of resilience for yourself and your organisations in these challenging and complex times.
